The U.S. Geographical Survey announced that a 6.3-magnitude earthquake struck south of Tonga Sunday morning.

On Sunday, a magnitude 6.3 earthquake struck about 455.5 kilometres (282.4 miles) south-southwest of Ohonua, Tonga, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS). The quake was at a depth of 10.0 km (6.21 miles), and it did not trigger a tsunami warning.
